Community Guidelines
How we keep this a kind place to sit.
These forums are moderated by people. Think of them as a long counter where strangers sit side by side. The rules are the ones your grandmother would have used.
Be kind
- Speak to people the way you would to their face. Disagree with ideas, not with the person.
- No insults, harassment, threats, hateful language or attacks on any person or group.
- It is fine to hold firm convictions. It is not fine to use them as a weapon. Everyone here is someone Christ died for.
Keep private things private
- Forum posts are public and search engines can find them. Use a member name you are comfortable with.
- When you ask for prayer, do not post another person’s name, medical details or private story without their permission. “A friend who is ill” is enough for God to know who you mean.
- Never post your address, phone number or a child’s personal details.
Keep it clean and on topic
- No sexual content, profanity or graphic violence.
- No selling, advertising, fundraising requests or requests for money. No spam.
- Do not give medical, legal or financial advice as if it were professional advice.
How moderation works
- A person reads every new member’s first post before it appears.
- New members cannot post links until they have three approved posts, and new members have a daily posting limit.
- Moderators may edit, hold or remove posts, and may suspend accounts, at their discretion.
If someone is in danger
These forums are not watched around the clock and cannot help in an emergency. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. If you are thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 in the United States to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at any hour.
